Habitat: The physical environment in which a species lives for at least part of its life. Recommended best practice is to use one or more habitat classes from the European Union Nature Information System (EUNIS), based on a combination of a species' depth distribution and, if benthic, the substratum, or its host, if the species lives in a biological (biogenic) habitat.
