correction of erroneous Iptc4xmpExt:CreditLine to photoshop:Credit
(Editorial note: at the time of the discussion below, the concept was identified as Iptc4xmpExt:CreditLine:)
Confusing definitions: on page 22 of IPTC Standard Photo Metadata (July 2010) it is stated that
- XMP namespace is "photoshop" not "Iptc4xmpExt"
- XMP property id is "Credit" not "CreditLine" (just the "Name" is "Credit Line")
- according to http://www.iptc.org/std/photometadata/specification/IPTC-PhotoMetadata-201007_1.xls it is in XMP-Schema IptcCore
This is confusing, see for instance Iptc4xmpExt:CountryCode with the following original definitions (IPTC Standard Photo Metadata (PDF)):
- Name: Country ISO-Code {location detail}
- XMP namespace: Iptc4xmpExt
- XMP property id: CountryCode
Must it be moved to another page, e.g. "photoshop:Credit" or "IptcCore:Credit"? It seems definitely not in Iptc4xmpExt. --Andreas Plank 13:25, 19 November 2012 (CET).
- I would say it should, since I have changed Ac so that it is no longer in the Iptc4xmpExt namespace.--BobMorris 21:12, 21 November 2012 (CET)
- Thanks for noticing this! I think it looks like photoshop:Credit is the correct URI. Audubon Core needs to be corrected if this is correct! Gregor Hagedorn 13:44, 20 November 2012 (CET)
- Fixed. Many of the IPTC term names (and labels) are used in both the Core and the Extension. We seem to uniformly use the Extension version and for good reason because that is the advice of the IPTC doc.
