As part of the EMODnet project (http://bio.emodnet.eu/), a standardised species attributes vocabulary is being developed so that selected European marine species can be tagged with relevant attributes information and be made available through the World Register of Marine Species (WoRMS) and the EMODnet biological portal.

Creators: Mark John Costello, University of Auckland, New Zealand; Dan Lear, Marine Biological Association, UK; Simon Claus, Flanders Marine Institute, Belgium; Éamonn Ó Tuama, GBIF, Denmark

Namespace URI: http://rs.tdwg.org/mst/terms/ with preferred namespace prefix “mst”.
