This vocabulary is still in an experimental phase. All terms and their definitions have yet to be stabilised and an official namespace agreed.
As part of the EMODnet project (http://bio.emodnet.eu/), a standardised species attributes vocabulary is being developed so that selected European marine species can be tagged with relevant attributes information and be made available through the World Register of Marine Species (WoRMS) and the EMODnet biological portal.
