I am the Biodiversity Informatics Manager for the Australian National Wildlife Collection in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory (ANWC), Australia. I've held this position since January 2007. I am also a member of the Faunal Collections Informatics Group, which answers to the Council of Heads of Australian Faunal Collections. I have designed and implemented the current bespoke collection management system for the ANWC, which is compatible with the Darwin Core. I am currently attempting to implement those parts of the GGBN standard relevant to the ANWC and Gabi Dröge has suggested I join the discussion group on the Wiki.
